2. General information on data processing

I process personal data of users of this website only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and my content. The processing of personal data generally takes place only with the user's consent or insofar as a legal basis permits the processing.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider in Germany. The provider is WildCat Media, proprietor Thomas Albrecht, Katharina-Fischer-Platz 1, 85435 Erding, Germany (www.wildcat.media). The personal data collected when visiting this website are processed on the host's servers. This concerns in particular the access data transmitted automatically (see item 4), such as your IP address.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure and efficient provision of this online service pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with the host, ensuring processing in compliance with data protection law. Processing takes place on servers located in Germany; personal data are not transferred to third countries outside the EU/EEA.

4. Provision of the website and server log files

Each time this website is accessed, data and information from the accessing device are collected automatically. The following data are collected:

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the technical delivery of the website, ensuring system security and stability, and detecting misuse. The log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected, generally after 30 days at the latest, unless longer retention is required in an individual case for evidentiary purposes.

5. Cookies and language selection

This website is implemented as a static website without any server-side application and does not use cookies. No analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies, nor any comparable techniques serving such purposes, are used.

Storage of your language selection: If you switch the language (German/English) using the flag icon, your selection is stored locally in your browser (localStorage, not a cookie) so that the site appears in your chosen language on your next visit. This storage is strictly necessary for the service you have expressly requested (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG); no consent is required for this. The setting is not transmitted to me or to any third party and serves solely to display the language. You may delete it at any time via your browser settings.

6. Fonts

For a consistent appearance, fonts (Fraunces) are hosted locally on the server. Body text uses the system fonts already present on your device. When the page is loaded, no connection is established to servers operated by Google or other providers; accordingly, no personal data are transmitted to third parties in this respect.

7. Interactive cost calculator

This website offers a cost calculator for a non-binding indication of the anticipated legal and court fees. The calculation is performed exclusively locally in your browser (client-side JavaScript). The values you enter are not transmitted to me or to any third party, are not stored, and are discarded when you leave or reload the page. No processing of personal data by me takes place in connection with this feature.

8. Contact by e-mail and telephone

If you contact me by e-mail or telephone, the data you provide (in particular your e-mail address or telephone number and the information contained in your message) will be stored in order to process your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as the enquiry is aimed at initiating or performing an engagement, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). This website does not offer a contact form. The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required to achieve the purpose for which they were collected and no statutory or professional retention obligations preclude deletion.

9. Directions and map display (OpenStreetMap)

On the contact page, a static map image is displayed to illustrate the location of the law firm, delivered via my own server. When the page is loaded, no personal data — in particular not your IP address — are transmitted to third parties for this purpose; no map tiles, fonts, or scripts are loaded from third-party servers. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a data-minimising presentation of the directions). The map material is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL); map data: © OpenStreetMap contributors.

In addition, a link to OpenStreetMap is provided, through which you can access an enlarged map and route planning. This link becomes active only when you click it. By clicking it, you leave this website; from that point on, the privacy policy of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom, applies (osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy).

10. Professional confidentiality and client data

This privacy policy concerns the use of this website. Personal data entrusted to me within the context of an engagement are subject to the attorney's duty of confidentiality (§ 43a(2) BRAO, § 2 BORA) and, independently of this policy, are processed exclusively for the handling of the respective matter.

11. Disclosure of data

Your personal data will be disclosed to third parties only if you have given your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), the disclosure is necessary for the performance of a contract or an engagement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), a statutory obligation exists (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), or this is necessary to safeguard legitimate interests and no overriding interest of yours warranting protection precludes it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

12. Storage period and retention obligations

Personal data are deleted as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. Insofar as data are subject to statutory or professional retention obligations, they are retained for the duration of the respective periods and their processing is restricted for other purposes. The attorney's file is subject to a retention period of six years after conclusion of the engagement (§ 50(1) BRAO); in addition, there are retention obligations under commercial law (six years, § 257 HGB) and tax law (ten years, § 147 AO).

13. Your rights as a data subject

With regard to the personal data concerning you, you have the following rights:

Insofar as I process personal data on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation.

14. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The supervisory authority responsible for me is:

Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, BayLDA)
Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany

15. Automated decision-making and profiling

No automated decision-making and no profiling take place on the basis of data collected through this website.

16. Data security (SSL/TLS encryption)

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar switches from "http://" to "https://" and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.

17. Currency of this privacy policy

This privacy policy is current as of July 2026. Further development of this website or changes in statutory or regulatory requirements may make it necessary to update this privacy policy.
