These professional regulations can be viewed and downloaded, in both German and English, via the website of the German Federal Bar (Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer,www.brak.de) under "Berufsrecht" (professional law).
Lawyers are prohibited by professional regulations from representing conflicting interests (§ 43a (4) BRAO). Before accepting any instruction, a check is therefore always carried out to establish whether a conflict of interest exists.
